The crisis over the disappearance of a Saudi journalist has highlighted Donald Trump’s lack of US ambassadors in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Jamal Khashoggi went missing after visiting the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey, and authorities there believe he may have been murdered by a Saudi “assassination squad”.
